WHO WE ARE

Underwood’s is a full service catering company operated in Toronto by Andrew Underwood and his talented team since January 2000. During that time he and his staff have consistently created incredible food and extremely memorable events for a long list of satisfied clients.

Andrew’s well-known culinary expertise and the specialty menus he personally designs ensure every event, big or small, is unique and memorable. With his personalized attention to detail every client can feel confident their next event will be a resounding success.

Andrew and his team continually strive to expand their extensive culinary knowledge while finding inspiration in fresh local ingredients as well as culinary trends from around the world. Having his pulse on Toronto’s internationally renowned culinary, arts and design scene helps him further develop his great sense of taste and style.

And it shows in every event Underwood’s cater….from Fried Chicken and Waffles to Grilled AAA Alberta Beef Tenderloin with seared Quebec Fois Gras and a rich Bourgogne Demi-Glace served with complementary sides of Yukon Gold Potato Tourne and Shiitake Studded Haricots Verts…whatever you choose, from simple to sophisticated, Underwood’s will make it happen.

Event Staff

After all it is your event why shouldn’t you enjoy it with your friends, family or co-workers? Let us take care of your needs, whatever those may be. Every member of our staff is a highly trained service professional who takes the initiative without having to be asked. Whether it’s a single server to help clean and organize or a team of twenty or more to help execute a large corporate event, we are here for you, from the set-up to the clean-up, working diligently so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

Head Chef or Floor Supervisor
$50 per Hour

Chefs, Service Staff or Bartenders
$35 per Hour

(All staff minimum 4 hours)

Event Rentals

“Let Underwood’s help you get what you really want.”

Either arrange for rentals yourself or let us do it for you. We’ll walk you through what needs to be rented for your event to go off without a hitch. We have a special arrangement with Chairman Mills to get you what you really want. An extensive selection of plate ware, cutlery, service equipment and anything you may need for your event is readily available.

Event Bar

Red, white or rosé…dark, light or amber…Cabernet, Chardonnay or Champagne… lager, ale or draught single malt, sour mash or pure potato…oh man, where does it end? Right here!

Let us navigate you to the right destination. Let us help you and your guests enjoy the night responsibly. Let our bartenders lend their ears while you relax and enjoy your own event. We can coordinate a fully-stocked classic bar, a creative martini bar, beer and wine or simply soft drinks. All our bartenders and servers are Smart Serve registered and are highly trained professionals.

Event Design

At Underwood’s we believe the palate is sparked by the eye. And the ambience starts with the décor. We truly believe it’s equally important to make a great visual impression that will match the standard set by the taste and smell of the cuisine. Our team can make any room look wonderfully special. Whether it’s a few simple centerpieces with river rocks and Lily of the Valley, or a grand entrance way, we can help make any room look more beautiful. Remember to coordinate the whole look of the event with your event planner to make sure you get exactly what you want. After all, it’s your event. So we’re happy to assist you in any way we can. If a visit to the event location will help determine what works best for you, your type of event and your budget, then we’ll go the distance to ensure your event is a success.

Over the years Underwood’s has had successful events in almost every nook, cranny and corner of Toronto…some of those locations include Massey Hall, the ACC, Toronto Island, University Of Toronto, Princess Margaret Hospital, Downsview Park…just to name a few. We are currently working on becoming the preferred caterers for a number of locations and have some fabulous venues that we have built solid relationships with over the years. We would be more than happy to offer you a variety of options of where to hold your next event.
